Due to continued growth, Burton Demolition is seeking a proactive and organised HR Coordinator to support our high-performing and fast-paced team. This is a hands-on, generalist HR role that touches all stages of the employee lifecycle across both site and office operations.

You’ll play a key role in supporting recruitment, compliance, onboarding, documentation, and employee wellbeing—while working alongside site crews, supervisors, project managers, and admin staff. It’s a varied role with the chance to make a real impact.

Key Responsibilities:

Support onboarding across all departments: Machine Operators, Truck Drivers, Hand Demo, Asbestos, Supervisors, Admin, and Project Managers

Ensure employment documentation is collected and maintained, including tickets, licences, training records, and police clearances

Assist in coordinating workforce scheduling by liaising with supervisors and project managers

Maintain accurate and up-to-date compliance records (SWMS, inductions, safety certifications)

Facilitate tool and resource allocation processes in coordination with operations and admin

Conduct regular check-ins on site and in the office to support staff and provide a consistent HR presence

Track and monitor attendance, training, and performance trends—raising concerns when required

Provide first-level support for employee relations issues and escalate to management when necessary

Liaise with payroll to ensure timesheets are accurate and processed in a timely manner

Contribute to a positive and inclusive culture through team communications and support initiatives

What You’ll Bring:

Experience in an HR coordinator or HR administration role (construction or field-based industry preferred)

Sound knowledge of HR processes, onboarding, compliance, and documentation management

Strong organisation, attention to detail, and proactive follow-up

Clear and confident communication across all levels of the business

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with HRIS platforms
