SUMMARY
An exciting opportunity for a Legal Counsel to join a multinational company on an initial 6-month contract. This full-time role involves general commercial work, including reviewing contracts and tenders, to support operations across Australia and New Zealand.

THE COMPANY
Our client is an established multinational manufacturing company known for its commitment to quality and innovation. The company develops, services, and rents a range of products across the industrial, resource, and construction sectors.

THE ROLE
Provide legal counsel on general commercial matters, contract reviews, and tenders. This role is part of the company’s legal team supporting group businesses within Australia and New Zealand.

Review, draft, and negotiate commercial contracts and tenders to ensure legal compliance.

Administer legal processes, including structured approval workflows.

Provide legal support to acquired businesses, addressing their specific needs.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to mitigate legal risks in business operations.

Maintain accurate records and documentation for legal agreements and approvals.

ABOUT YOU
You are a qualified legal professional in commercial law, specialising in contract and tender review.

5+ years of legal experience

Prior in-house experience is beneficial, but not essential

Expertise in reviewing and drafting contracts and tenders

Familiarity with structured processes and approval systems in a corporate environment

Strong organisational skills for managing administrative and legal tasks

Effective communication to liaise with stakeholders across acquired businesses

Proactive problem-solving with a commitment to timely legal support

ON OFFER

Competitive remuneration package based on experience (up to $190k including super)

Full-time position with a 6-month initial term, starting ASAP
