An established financial services organisation with a strong focus on technology is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to help shape its development practices and technical strategy. This is a key role for someone who can lead teams and drive modern software engineering outcomes.
About the Role
You’ll lead a cross-functional development team delivering scalable, cloud-ready solutions using .NET. This includes setting technical direction, mentoring team members, and ensuring delivery quality across the platform.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead full-stack solution design and implementation
• Build and mentor a high-performing engineering team
• Maintain engineering standards through test automation and clean code
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment between tech and business goals
• Guide architecture decisions for distributed systems and microservices
• Champion DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines
• Provide coaching and support for developer growth

Your Background

• 10+ years of experience in .NET/C# development
• Significant React experience
• Proven leadership in software engineering teams
• Experience with microservices and modern application design
• Hands-on with CI/CD tools and deployment pipelines
• Exposure to Azure or AWS (preferred)
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Comfortable working in Agile environments
• Relevant degree in Computer Science or similar (preferred)
