Join CQ Party Hire and lead the successful delivery of large-scale event builds across Central Queensland. Manage crews, logistics, and on-site operations in a dynamic, hands-on role.

About the Role

We’re seeking a hands-on Event Project Manager to lead the setup and pack-down of event infrastructure, including marquees, staging, and equipment.

This senior operational role oversees on-site execution, coordinates teams, and ensures events are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard.

Experience in marquee construction is a plus but not essential—we’ll provide the training you need.

This is primarily a Monday - Friday job with occasional weekend work for major projects.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise multiple teams and projects for marquee and event infrastructure builds and removals

Create and implement event layouts, timelines, and requirements

Act as the primary on-site contact for clients

Conduct risk assessments, daily briefings, and task allocation

Ensure WHS compliance and safe work practices

Resolve on-site issues promptly and effectively

Physically fit to lift up to 20kg, work outdoors, and stand for extended periods

About You

Experience in site or operations management (events, construction, or similar)

Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills

Ability to interpret plans and manage multiple crews under pressure

White Card (or willingness to obtain)

HR licence or forklift licence (desirable or willing to obtain)

Hands-on, safety-focused, and client-oriented mindset
