Your role
As our Afternoon Shift Manager, you won't just oversee; you'll lead, inspire, and empower. Reporting directly to our General Manager, Manufacturing, you will be the driving force behind our afternoon operations, driving sustainable excellence, compliance and ensuring optimal performance levels are maintained.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Overseeing and managing operational performance levels, ensuring Food Safety and Quality standards are met and holding the team accountable for compliance
Leading the team using effective coaching, encouragement and delegation to ensure performance targets are successfully achieved
Managing team workflows by assigning responsibilities
Identifying and resolving food safety and quality issues within the scope of your role and knowing when it’s appropriate to escalate
In collaboration with the Day Shift Manager, assist with preparation of weekly rosters, rotation schedules, and ensure all daily operational administrative duties are completed
Review and recommend amendments to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Policies and Procedures relevant to current operational procedures

Operational Excellence: You will be the expert on the floor, ensuring our production processes run efficiently, adhering strictly to food safety, quality, and WHS standards. Your proactive problem-solving skills will help us maintain optimal performance levels.
Team Development: You are invested in your team's growth, conducting regular performance discussions and identifying opportunities for skill enhancement.
What you need to succeed
Proven experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing or production environment
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication style where needed and positively influence key stakeholders.
Passionate about driving accountability and fostering a high-performance culture.
Dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of food safety, quality, and workplace health & safety.
Be a champion of continuous improvement and effective at implementing approved strategies
Resilient, adaptable, and a proactive problem-solver.
Ability to coach and develop others, including sharing of knowledge and modelling professional workplace behaviours
HACCP knowledge; and
The ability to taste yoghurt and yoghurt products throughout production stage, this means no allergies to dairy or nuts
