About the role:-

Encouraging the importance of Quality Assurance and Food Safety throughout the organisation.

Ensuring QA principles are embedded through the entire manufacturing process from beginning to end.

Ensuring QA tasks and records are completed accurately and signed off within the appropriate time frame.

Report Food safety hazard.

Predominately physically working in the production area.

Provide onsite support to QA, Manager, Directors and the operations team.

Direct and train production staff regarding quality and compliance.

Ensure quality control procedures are achieved.

Play a key role in audits of food safety and quality systems.

Development and verification of plant hygiene manual, sanitation standard and operating procedures.

Establishing and building relationships with suppliers and customers.

GMP & HACCP & SQF monitoring of factory, warehouses and offices. Knowledge of WH&S procedures required.

Conduct and production checks within the factory.

Co-ordinate pest control on site.

Participate in the internal auditing programme,

Quality training of staff and production employees. Including GS1 procedures.

To be successful in the role you will need:

1. Excellent attention to detail.

2. A demonstrated work history of your achievements in QA, preferably in food production.

3. Strong interpersonal and good communication skills.

4. Proficiency with all Microsoft applications and all other computer work.

5 The ability and stamina to work under pressure and a fast paced workplace.

6. Able to commence work at 5.00am and or afternoon shift at 1.30.pm (on shift basis as required).

7. Able to work a 35 hr week. Plus Saturdays and overtime if required from time to time.

8. HACCP and SQF certificate essential.
