The Trustee for Bhatti Family Trust & The Trustee for Manj Family Trust is a family-run farm business located at Sherwood Creek Road Upper Corindi NSW 2456 specialising in the production of raspberries and blackberries with sustainable farming practices and consistent product quality.

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Quality Assurance Officer to inspect and maintain the produce and facilities of our raspberry growing enterprise to ensure compliance with government and industry standards

Key Responsibilities:

· Inspect, test, and sample crops to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.

· Maintain and review adherence to HARPs, FairFarms and Freshcare, and other relevant quality frameworks.

· Test samples of produce for quality, size and purity

· Inspecting plants and produce to identify signs of disease, spoilage, or damage and providing advice to producers.

· Inspect, classify, and grade fruit produce to meet regulatory and market requirements

· Monitor post-harvest handling and storage to ensure quality retention to ensure compliance with required standards

· Ensure that required standards of hygiene are observed at storage, processing and packing facilities and in transport vehicles

· Collaborate with production staff to promote and educate on quality best practices.

· Identify non-compliance or risks and recommend corrective actions.

· Prepare and maintain inspection records and reports

· Ensure compliance with industry and food safety standards

· Document and report findings accurately and promptly.

· Assist in preparing for audits and customer inspections.

· Stay updated on agricultural quality control standards and practices.

· Advise primary producers on economic aspects of disease eradication and informing producers and the general public of the health implications of diseases and impurities

Qualifications: Minimum of a Diploma in Horticulture or a related field.

Experience: At least 1 years of experience in quality assurance in rubus agricultural production.

Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
