We’re recruiting for our client who has two site locations: Revesby and Marrickville (you will have to be comfortable to travel between both sites for this role).
We are seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Officer to ensure the highest standards of food safety and quality. If you're passionate about food safety, quality control, and ensuring top-notch standards in production, this is the perfect role for you!
The role will begin as a casual, ongoing engagement from Monday to Friday over an initial three-month period, with the potential to evolve into a full-time opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
Take charge of ensuring the safety of yourself and others in the workplace.
Report incidents, injuries, and near misses promptly and assist in fostering a safe working environment.
Oversee daily verification of CCPs and QCPs.
Take responsibility for ensuring all production documentation is accurate and filed on time.
Perform micro-sampling, swabbing, and other essential testing as part of quality control measures.
Contribute to internal and external audits, ensuring compliance at all times.
Assist with managing supplier complaints and help maintain raw material specifications.
Conduct allergen testing and maintain excellent food safety records.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience: At least 2+ years in a Quality Assurance role, ideally in food manufacturing.
Qualifications: A degree in Science or a related field, along with familiarity with HACCP, GMP, and QMS systems.
Previous internal auditing experience is a bonus but not essential.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Access) is required.
Quality Assurance: Timely and accurate verification of CCPs and QCPs, with a focus on continuous improvement.
Documentation Accuracy: Keep production forms and records up-to-date and ensure audits are passed successfully.
