My client is fast growing automotive company, they are currently looking for an experienced CFO ton join their team, repotting to CEO
Role Description
Job Title: Chief Financial Officer
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer
Direct Reports: 5
Work Flexibility: 1 day work from home and 4 days in office
Location: CBD, Sydney
Salary: $250,000 - $300,000 + Super
Conclusion:
The CFO will plan, control, and coordinate the financial management and accounting activities within the company. They will support the CEO and Executive team through effective collaboration, providing financial insights and strategies to drive growth across Sales, Marketing, and Product areas. Additionally, the CFO will lead finance communications and relationships between entities, ensuring alignment and transparency across the group.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Finance and Accounting team, ensuring professionalism and technical knowledge are the basis for all practices and decisions.
- Partner with the CEO and Executive Team to delivery company strategies, ensuring decisions are based on accurate financial modelling and information.
- Ensure all entities adheres to all compliance and reporting obligations, including fund transfer pricing, tax, regulatory and corporate governance.
- Complete audits – internal and external.
- Develop and implement financial strategy in line with company goals
- Develop technology and process initiatives to help drive efficiency and maximise profit
- Direct the annual budget process by working with the CEO and department heads to establish financial targets.
- Direct the monthly forecasting processed by working with the CEO and department heads.
- Ability to write finance-based proposals and recommendations.
- Communicate financial performance and present reports to stakeholders, and ensure the CEO is kept informed of material finance matters.
- Manage and mentor the finance and accounting team through strong leadership
- Compliance with all company policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Territory qualifications in finance, accounting or relevant discipline.
- CA or CPA Qualified
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in the Australian automotive industry or related fields
- Proven, high level skills in all aspects of finance and control departments
- Outstanding negotiation skills, persuasive ability & excellent written and oral communication skills
- Team management, leadership & mentoring capability
- Proven track record of results delivery along with the ability to lead, contribute and work in a team environment
- Advanced Microsoft office, Business, and reporting skills
