The Opportunity

As the Finance Manager, you will take full ownership of the end-to-end finance function for the Australian business. This encompasses financial control, statutory reporting, business partnering, and regulatory compliance, alongside delivering commercial insights and supporting strategic decision-making. You will act as the key local finance contact and collaborate closely with international stakeholders across the APAC region.

The Challenge

As a critical member of the finance team your responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing all aspects of the finance function including financial reporting, FP&A, tax compliance, and general accounting
• Leading month-end close activities, preparing and reviewing journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial statements
• Preparing timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with internal policies and regulatory standards
• Supervising accounts payable and expense management processes to ensure compliance and accuracy
• Managing intercompany balances and liaising with global affiliates to ensure adherence to transfer pricing and related policies
• Assisting with cash flow forecasting and liquidity management as part of treasury support
• Collaborating with business units to provide insightful financial analysis, cost control advice, and profitability improvements
• Contributing to budgeting and forecasting cycles, including variance analysis and financial modelling
• Driving initiatives to enhance efficiency and improve system capabilities across the finance function
• Working closely with APAC and global teams to ensure seamless financial operations and reporting
• Supporting finance leadership with ad hoc financial analysis and strategic initiatives as required

The Expertise

Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

• CA/CPA qualified with a strong technical accounting foundation
• Financial services or asset management industry experience is essential
• Experience starting your career at Big 4 or leading mid-tier accounting firms is a strong advantage but not essential
• Confident managing complex accounting processes, financial reporting, and compliance requirements
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage effectively across multiple levels and regions
• Proactive, hands-on, and comfortable working autonomously within a fast-paced, globally integrated environment
