About ATTIA
ATTIA Ltd is the representative organisation for the Australian Tea Tree Industry. As the peak industry body, ATTIA represents producers, processors, and marketers of Australian tea tree oil. Our mission is to support a sustainable and innovative tea tree industry through research, quality assurance and industry advocacy.
About the Role
ATTIA is seeking a highly organised and self-motivated Administrative Officer to support the effective functioning of our organisation and its Board. This is a part-time, work-from-home role, with preference for candidates based in Northern NSW – the heart of Australia’s tea tree growing region.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, you will play a pivotal role in delivering secretariat support, engaging with members and industry stakeholders and ensuring smooth administrative operations across a range of core programs and projects.
Key Responsibilities
Provide secretariat support to the ATTIA Board of Directors including meeting scheduling, agenda preparation, minutes and follow-up.
Respond to member and industry enquiries via email and phone, providing timely and professional support.
Manage the ATTIA membership system, including onboarding, renewals and records maintenance.
Monitor and manage organisational email accounts, responding to or escalating enquiries as needed.
Provide basic IT and systems administration support (liaison with vendors, software updates, file storage etc).
Assist with the delivery and tracking of monthly reporting requirements across ATTIA’s project portfolio.
Coordinate the administrative aspects of the CHIRAL adulterated product testing program, including sample tracking and results dissemination.
Liaise with and delegate tasks to a virtual executive assistant as needed to ensure efficient workflow and support.
Skills & Experience
Proven experience in an administrative, secretariat, or office management role (preferably in a not-for-profit or membership-based organisation).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to work independently and remotely.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, email management systems, and online file-sharing platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Google Drive).
Experience managing membership databases or CRM systems is desirable.
An understanding of or interest in the agricultural or natural products sectors is an advantage.
Work Environment & Salary
This is a remote, part-time position offering flexibility in working hours.
The role is expected to require approximately 2.5 to 3 days per week (equivalent to 0.4–0.5 FTE), subject to discussion and the candidate’s experience and efficiency. Flexibility with work arrangements will be considered for the right candidate.
Location Preference
While this is a remote role, preference will be given to applicants based in Northern New South Wales, due to its proximity to the tea tree production region and potential in-person engagements.
