Early Childhood Teacher / Room Leader – Kirrawee

Your Role as ECT / Room Leader

As the Room Leader and/or ECT, you will play a pivotal role in leading the educational program and setting the standard for high-quality care and teaching. You will:

Design, implement and evaluate engaging programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)

Mentor and support a team of educators within your room, fostering collaboration and professional growth

Act as the pedagogical leader, ensuring documentation and programming reflects best practice

Drive critical reflection and continuous improvement within your room

Build strong, respectful relationships with children and their families

Champion inclusive practices and support the diverse needs of all learners

Lead parent meetings, developmental summaries, and transitions to school

Contribute to centre-wide initiatives and quality improvement plans

Support compliance and uphold centre policies and procedures

What You’ll Need

A Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (ACECQA approved) or
A Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care with strong leadership experience

HLTAID012 – Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting

CHCPRT025 or CHCPRT001 – Identify and Respond to Children and Young People at Risk

NSW Food Authority Food Handler Basics Training

Sound understanding of the EYLF, NQS, and current early childhood best practices

Exceptional communication, organisation, and leadership skills

A collaborative, reflective, and proactive approach
