To continue to deliver for our community, we are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher to be a part of our Teaching team at Rokewood Kindergarten for the 2025 school year, who will have a vital role in creating a positive an inclusive educational program and environment that fosters the development of young children.
Rokewood Kindergarten operates from a single room 24 place Facility located adjacent to Rokewood Primary School. The kindergarten has a spacious outdoor area also accommodates Maternal and Child Health consultations and has strong relationships with Rokewood Primary School. For 2025, the service operates an integrated 3- and 4-year-old kindergarten program over three 5-hour days.

This role will provide you the opportunity to:
Ensure a developmentally appropriate curriculum that incorporates outdoor learning experiences
Create a warm and welcoming learning environment that reflects our rural community
Build positive relationships with children, families, and community members
Assess and document children's progress
Collaborate with the teaching team and the Volunteer Parent Committee to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
Our ideal candidate will have:
Demonstrated experience in co-ordinating and delivering Early Childhood educational programs, including the supervision of staff.
A comprehensive knowledge of the current Education and Care Services National Regulations and the Education and Care Services National Law Act. (2010).
Ability to provide a safe, warm and welcoming environment for the children where each child’s health is promoted and protected.
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of contemporary practice relating to inclusion of vulnerable children, children who are Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander are from culturally and/or linguistically diverse backgrounds or have a disability.
Well-developed leadership skills with the ability to plan and organise one’s own work and that of other staff so as to achieve specific objectives.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively and gain the co-operation and assistance of others.
