Kindergarten Room Leader – Early Childhood Teacher (ECT)

Your Role:

As the Kindergarten Room Leader at Little Blessings, you will:

Lead the planning and delivery of a high-quality kindergarten program aligned with the EYLF and VEYLDF.

Guide and mentor your room’s team, creating a positive, collaborative environment where educators feel supported and valued.

Support children’s inclusion and participation, ensuring every child feels seen, heard, and empowered to learn.

Build strong, respectful relationships with children, families, and the wider community, creating a deep sense of belonging.

Liaise with families and allied health professionals to develop individualised learning and support strategies.

Design play-based learning experiences that reflect children’s interests, strengths, and developmental needs.

Take responsibility for compliance, documentation, and reflections in accordance with NQS, EYLF, and centre policies.

Who We’re Looking For:

To thrive in this leadership role, you’ll need:

A Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or equivalent qualification (ACECQA approved).

Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an ECT, with experience in a room leadership or mentoring role.

Proven ability to run a successful and engaging kindergarten program.

A strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF).

Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire, support, and guide a team.

Confidence in documenting observations, planning, and writing learning stories.

A commitment to child safety and knowledge of child protection practices.

Experience supporting children with additional needs in an inclusive setting.

An interest in nature pedagogy or outdoor learning approaches (desirable but not essential).
