Daylesford Community Child Care Centre is a well-established community-based children's centre located on the lands of the Dja Dja Wurrung People in the Hepburn Shire. Daylesford Childcare is open 8am-6pm and provides integrated 3- and 4-year-old kindergarten in a Long Day Care setting.
The kindergarten room features indoor learning spaces filled with natural light and is blessed with an enormous outdoor yard with a 30-year-old oak tree and stunning mud brick features and cubby houses. The space is filled with loose materials for creative and adventurous play and runs a well-established Bush Kinder program offsite. Daylesford’s philosophy is built on trust and respect for children, families and staff and our community work closely in providing a warm, trusting and nurturing environment.
Our, community based childcare centre is seeking to employ a suitably experienced, enthusiastic and flexible Kindergarten Teacher (ECT) to work in our 4-year-old funded kindergarten program for 3 delivery days and separate planning/programming hours.
We have 19 children per day with three staff (an ECT and two educators) working each day. We are a collaborative service, recognising that all of our teachers, educators and staff have something to offer. We seek to have strong relationships with all families and hold strong relationships with the local schools. We believe in the development of children's social and emotional skills as part of their school readiness and want them to have fun!
Our Bush Kinder Program runs through our Winter terms, but we also love to engage with the local community as our centre is walking distance from the main part of town.
