Business Engagement Lead | ASAP Start | 12-Month Contract

• $800–$900/day + super
• Hybrid WFH (2–3 days in office)

A NSW Government department is seeking an experienced Business Engagement Lead to join a newly established team driving a major strategic transformation across shared services. This role will lead the strategic management of business demand, and foster strong stakeholder relationships to enable a more streamlined and connected employee experience across the public sector.

With a focus on consolidating ERP systems, IT service management, and travel/expense processes, this program is central to creating more efficient, user-focused services across NSW Government.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and execution of strategic stakeholder management plans.
• Build strong, trust-based relationships with internal and external stakeholders, acting as a key liaison point.
• Guide demand analysis and planning, including scenario planning and prioritisation to improve business value.
• Negotiate and influence stakeholder expectations to align with program goals and ensure successful service delivery.
• Drive integration of demand management with broader change and strategic planning processes.
• Review new proposals, provide expert advice on demand management, and route requests appropriately.
• Support effective decision-making through insights, reporting, and demand-related business intelligence.

About You:

• You’re a confident operator with experience managing complex stakeholder environments, ideally in large or government organisations.
• You bring strong strategic thinking and can balance multiple priorities while delivering measurable outcomes.
• You’re experienced in stakeholder engagement, service design, and change delivery.
• SAP experience is essential.
• You’re comfortable navigating ambiguity and can drive alignment across diverse teams.
