We’re seeking a hands-on Operations Manager to take charge of our vastly growing industry leading meat processing and wholesale facility based in central Brisbane. This leadership role is focused not on overhauling existing systems, but on unifying and streamlining operations—ensuring smooth, efficient, and reliable daily performance.
You’ll work closely with the leadership team and report directly to senior management, supporting a strong, fast-paced culture that values precision, teamwork, and accountability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all day-to-day operations across production, warehousing, and transport—ensuring cohesion and end-to-end efficiency.
• Directly manage and support the Production Manager, Warehouse Manager, and Transport Manager to ensure alignment and clear accountability.
• Identify and implement incremental improvements in workflow, safety, compliance, and cost-efficiency—without disrupting what already works well.
• Be physically present and engaged on the floor; this is not a desk-bound or strategy-only position.
• Support and maintain a culture of discipline, pace, and respect—fitting naturally with the team and reinforcing operational tempo.
• Act as the central point for resolving operational bottlenecks or communication gaps between departments.
• Report to the senior leadership team with insights, operational data, and improvement suggestions.
• Ensure compliance with cold-chain, food safety (e.g. HACCP), and WHS standards across all departments.

Candidate Requirements:

• Proven experience in operations leadership within meat processing, cold-chain logistics, food manufacturing, or similar high-volume environments.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced, hands-on settings where pace, timing, and accuracy are critical.
• Comfortable being physically present on the floor, working shoulder-to-shoulder with team leaders and frontline staff.
• Strong communication skills and a natural leadership style that earns respect without disrupting existing culture.
• Experience managing multiple departments simultaneously (production, warehouse, logistics).
• Capable of delivering results through coordination, small-scale process improvements, and proactive issue resolution—not sweeping structural change.
• High emotional intelligence and adaptability—essential for integrating into a long-standing, high-performing team.
