Serious Waste is a liquid waste removal company based in Yatala, locally owned & operated for over 20 years. We specialise in everything from Portable Toilet Hire, Bulk Liquid Waste Removal, Luxury Toilet Hire, Event Hire, Cleaning, Major Music and Sporting Events and loads more.

Our fleet of trucks are a custom, one-of-a-kind design to ensure you have all the tools to get the job done right & with professionalism.

What is the role?

This diverse role is critical to many sectors within our business, operations, logistics, maintenance, customer service, construction, and event hire and management. Ideally you will be an energetic, driven and passionate individual that takes ownership of the role.

As yard manager you will be responsible for all depot operations and maintaining/ organising our operational and hire fleet assets. Along with planning delivery and collection of our fleet of portable toilets and showers, and related equipment, you will also be responsible for ensuring our fleet is serviced and maintained to Serious Waste standards and ensure we always have stock on hand to fill any hire enquires we have.

To help you achieve this you will manage a team or yard and delivery staff as well as working with our admin team to ensure all deliveries and collections are done in full and on time.

What do you need?

Forklift licence necessary

Previous experience in managing operational staff

Previous experience in hire industry or in managing assets

Logistics experience working with delivery and pick up vehicles

Working knowledge of local areas or ability to learn quickly

Solutions focussed attitude & ability to adapt quickly

White card or ability to obtain

Traffic History report

History in liquid waste management or hire advantageous

Familiarity with operation and management of trucks of all types and sizes desirable

MR licence or higher would be an advantage.
