JOB PURPOSE AND SCOPE
If you’re fluent in Mandarin and want to combine customer service with leasing administration in a dynamic, brand new student accommodation building in Melbourne CBD this one’s for you!
In this fast-paced role based within the property, you’ll spend 50% of your time managing our China specific leasing channel and the other 50% supporting our broader leasing efforts. You’ll be a key member of The Switch Leasing Team, ensuring a high standard of service, seamless operations, and consistent communication with both agents and residents. This is a critical role with strong growth potential, perfect for someone who enjoys admin, customer service, and engaging with international stakeholders. Key points:
• Fluency in Mandarin and English is essential
• Strong admin focus and communication skills required
• Full time role (38 hours per week), Monday to Friday
• 8-hour shifts between 12pm and 8pm to support the time difference with China

ABOUT THE SWITCH

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
China Channel Leasing (approx. 50% of your time)
Manage all Chinese agent relationships via WeChat and email, including responding to enquiries, sharing daily availability updates during peak periods, processing applications, and following up on payments and contracts. Action booking amendments or cancellations, track performance against targets, support livestreams, assist with tours, and commission reconciliations.
General Leasing (approx. 50% of your time)
Support overall leasing operations including managing inboxes, processing bookings, tenancy takeovers, room moves, and CRM updates. Lead property tours, coordinate resident check-ins, moderate agent WhatsApp groups, and provide high-quality frontline service and admin support.
SKILLS / EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Mandarin and English fluency is essential
• Prior experience in leasing, customer service or student accommodation preferred but not essential
• Must enjoy a mix of admin and frontline interaction
• Strong attention to detail and task ownership
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with tools such as CRMs, social media, and chat platforms like WeChat and WhatsApp
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Mandarin
• Process-driven with strong organisational skills
• Comfortable with technology and digital platforms
• Experience working with Gen Z is a plus
