We’re currently looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Project Engineer/Estimator to join our team, specializing in commercial HVAC & Refrigeration projects, including specialising in Cooling Towers. You will play a critical role in assisting our Engineering Manager.

You will be planning, estimating and coordination of manufacturing, installations and upgrades, with a strong focus on client relationships, quality, efficiency and cost management.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for HVACR commercial projects, including mechanical services, ductwork, and piping systems.

Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for Cooling Tower projects, including selection criteria, engineering and assembly requirements.

Analyse, assist and prepare project drawings, specifications, and technical documents to develop detailed scopes of work.

Collaborate with project managers, engineers, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure comprehensive and realistic estimates.

Develop, maintain and forging of new relationships with clients, builders, vendors, and contractors. Including continuous tendering and follow-up.

Assist in value engineering and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising project integrity.

Assist in site supervision, maintaining and ensuring on site requirements are met.

Support engineering and project teams during the design, planning, and construction phases.

Contribute to tender submissions and respond to RFQs and RFPs.

Maintain knowledge of current industry trends, products, and regulatory requirements.

Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience in HVACR estimating and/or engineering within commercial construction.

Strong knowledge of HVAC & Refrigeration systems, materials, and installation practices.

Prior experience with Cooling Towers is highly advantageous.

Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.

Familiarity with estimation and drawing software (e.g.Aroflo, Autocad, 3D Revit or similar).

Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management abilities.

Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
