Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Allied Health Assistant to join the Occupational Therapy Department at Northern Health within the GEM at Home team based in Bundoora.

This is a fixed term full time (until December 2025) opportunity that could lead to permanent hours in the future.

Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne's rapidly growing outer north. Services are provided through our five main campuses: Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn Centre, and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park and Coburg.

About the Role:

This role provides an exciting opportunity to be part of a multi-disciplinary team who provide quality patient care to our aging cohort within their home environment. The role works under the supervision of an Allied Health professional and is responsible for providing individual patient related support activities that promote engagement in therapy programs and help ensure a safe and supportive environment. The role works with multiple allied health disciplines which may include but is not limited to Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Dietetics, ensuring lots of diversity in your days. This position is based at Bundoora Centre and has monthly ADO's.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Experience and understanding of the needs of our aging cohort
  • Proven ability to work well within a large team
  • Demonstrated experience to work autonomously
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills
