As a result of company growth and internal promotions, we are looking for a Clinical Trials Laboratory Assistant to join our team.

We have a nimble approach to trial implementation, whilst ensuring safety and quality are delivered in our services.

To help make our vision a reality, you will successfully:

Create and monitor the daily schedule for bookings and kits to contribute to smooth lab operations

Have an eye for detail as you receive and process pathology kits for our clinical trial participants

Identify and track correct specimens, kits and accompanying documentation received in the lab

Meticulously process, store and sort all samples making sure all associated documentation and labelling is an exact match with the participant for easy collection and shipping

Track and document the storage of samples and update the shipping manifest

Contribute to on-site testing by conducting, reporting and validating results

Keep the lab and equipment sterilised and spotlessly clean, storage fridges, incubator and batteries at optimal operation and lab checklists up to date

Develop and maintain great relationships with Emeritus couriers and vendors to support safe shipping of samples

Responsibly participate in laboratory training and inductions to help colleagues remain aware and comply with the work, health and safety policies

Collaborate with your lab team members to ensure overall efficient lab operations

Be knowledgeable with Microsoft Office programs and be highly accurate and efficient with data entry

We’d also like to hear about whether you have:

Previous laboratory experience (at least 1 year in a Pathology service is essential)

Certificate or diploma level education in a relevant field or science qualifications

Accurate and clear written and oral communication

Australian Citizen or Permanent Australian Residency, or appropriate work visas
