About the Role:
As the HR Administration Assistant, you’ll be at the heart of our people operations ensuring a smooth and professional experience for employees across the business. From maintaining accurate employee records and coordinating key documentation, to supporting recruitment and onboarding activities, you’ll be the go-to for keeping things running behind the scenes. You’ll work closely with the HR Manager to drive initiatives that shape a positive workplace culture, support compliance, and enable team development. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to the full spectrum of HR functions, from recruitment and onboarding to policy development, performance support, and employee engagement. Whether you’re looking to deepen your existing HR knowledge or pivot from administration into a people-focused career path, you’ll have the chance to build practical experience and grow.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and update employee records and HR database.
Assist in drafting and formatting position descriptions and HR policies.
Conduct reference checks and chase missing new hire information.
Support onboarding and offboarding processes.
Coordinate HR documentation and compliance requirements.
Provide general administrative support to the HR Manager.
Organise recruitment interviews, phone screens and candidate communications.
Assist with drafting internal communications and announcements.
Help maintain compliance with workplace legislation and internal procedures.
Respond to employee queries and provide timely, accurate information.
Maintain strict confidentiality and ensure data integrity across all HR systems and files.
Manage shared inboxes and ensure timely follow-up and resolutions where necessary.
What You’ll Bring
Previous experience in an administrative or HR support role (highly desirable but not required).
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Proactive and can-do mindset with genuine desire to support others and grow.
