UnitingCare are looking for a Senior Report Developer - Power BI to join our Hospitals team.
You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining models and dashboards which provide our Hospitals with impactful data visualisation solutions that aligns with business objectives and support decision-making.
We are looking for someone who would get excited by the level of complexity in creating strategic business reports and the possibilities that lay hidden within it, not afraid to ask questions and demonstrate thinking outside of the box.
This brand new role bridges the gap between data engineering, business stakeholders, and decision-makers, ensuring that data-driven insights are accessible, engaging, and actionable.
Please note, this is a permanent full time role with hybrid working options available.
Your part in our UnitingCare team:
Design, develop, and implement reports and dashboards using reporting tools such as Power BI and Tabular Editor that facilitate data exploration and visualisation.
Develop data models with reference to Synapse SQL Pool or OneLake data store.
Analyse data from various sources to provide meaningful insights and trends that align with business objectives.
Engage with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs, translating these requirements into effective reporting solutions.
Conduct thorough testing and validation of reports to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to business requirements.
Create and maintain documentation for reports, including specifications, user guides, and operational procedures.
Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders through presentations, reports, and interactive visualisations.
What makes a difference for us?
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field, with minimum 5+ years’ experience in Power BI Report development or a similar role, including detailed scoping of requirements (including data/row level security).
Strong proficiency in reporting tools such as Tabular Editor, Power BI and DAX, with experience in using SQL, Power Query, and DAX to transform and analyse data.
Experience working with non-technical staff, defining, and accurately documenting business gaps/problems, building relationships, and communicating sustainable and timely reporting solutions.
Experience in delivering quality reporting outcomes, with pipeline management or other quality control processes.
Analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving experience considering the holistic organisational impact awareness.
