As a Senior Technical Applications Specialist, you will be responsible for providing leadership and expertise in the ongoing support and maintenance of clinical and care application systems. You will collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation to identify and implement appropriate procedures and processes that enable the continued support and optimisation of these systems.

This is a generalist position that will work as an Applications Specialist across 50 separate platforms for UnitingCare’s various work streams, with a large focus on our Oracle Health Platform.

Each day will be different, and you will spend a lot of time working with application vendors to create unique platform solutions that meet our company needs. Furthermore, you will engage closely with clinical professionals, providing level 2 support for any queries or incidents that have been escalated.

Please note, this is a full-time position. Flexibility is important to us, and we know it is to you, too - this role supports hybrid working.

Your part in our UnitingCare team:

Provide specialist advice and support for clinical applications, including Cerner and Oracle Health, collaborating with various stakeholders and vendors to plan, develop, implement and maintain clinical applications.

Troubleshoot problems and inefficiencies in clinical applications in consultation with clinical customers, including responses to application incidents.

Manage ‘MyService Desk’ queue for clinical applications ensuring appropriate assignment of tickets, resolution within agreed SLAs and provision of excellent customer service.

Provide expertise in clinical applications support, design, architecture capabilities and systems supported by the organisation.

Participate in and contributes to education of end-users in new clinical application developments to support acceptance and ongoing adoption.

On-call support will be required as part of a rotating roster to ensure continuous, high-quality service delivery.

What makes a difference for us?

A minimum of 5 years’ experience supporting clinical and care applications, including troubleshooting, incident management, and user support.

Proficiency with Cerner and Oracle Health will be highly regarded.

Demonstrated experience in providing Clinical Application Support including customer and stakeholder engagement, investigation of and understanding of hospitals workflow practices and how technology plays a significant role in that.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders of all levels.

Proactive problem-solving skills, with ability to visualise, articulate and resolve complex technical and clinical challenges.
