What You’ll Be Responsible For
Leadership & Culture
Lead and inspire a front-of-house team through high standards, energy, and consistency
Build a positive, service-driven workplace culture aligned with the venue’s relaxed coastal vibe
Manage all aspects of recruitment, onboarding, and performance development
Operations & Guest Experience
Run daily venue operations, ensuring exceptional service across all areas
Be present on the floor during peak trade periods and key moments
Proactively resolve issues, complaints, or service gaps
Work closely with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure seamless execution
Financial Management & Stock
Manage budgets, wage costs, and COGS to meet financial targets
Create efficient rosters based on trade forecasts and wage cost targets
Oversee stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships
Implement strategies to drive revenue through upselling and promotions
Compliance & Safety
Ensure compliance with all RSA, licensing, WHS, and venue-specific procedures
Maintain a safe, secure and well-maintained venue environment
Conduct incident reporting and support safety training with staff
Collaboration & Growth
Work alongside the venue owners and leadership team to refine processes
Contribute to venue marketing efforts, event planning, and community engagement
Offer creative input into seasonal menu updates, service enhancements, and promotions
What We’re Looking For
Minimum 2–3 years experience as a Venue Manager, General Manager, or similar
Proven ability to lead high-volume bar or pub operations
Strong knowledge of financials, rostering, and inventory systems
High level of emotional intelligence and a calm, hands-on leadership style
Sound understanding of hospitality compliance and licensing requirements
Someone who thrives in a fast-paced, energetic venue environment
