Position Description

1. THE COMPANY

Republic of Fremantle Distillery is in the heart of Fremantle’s historic West End. From here, we produce unique and premium wine-based spirits from scratch. Our Distillery includes venue experiences showcasing our products in tastings, cocktails and industry leading tours, gin and cocktail schools. We value our Fremantle home, our commitment to authenticity and the unique value we provide in an increasingly congested craft spirits industry.

Our venue is open 7 days with two bars, partner delivered food service, gin and cocktail school as well as tour and taste experiences. We are a destination venue for group bookings and functions. As a Distillery, we emphasise distillery door tastings to fully engage with our products and promote retail sales from our venue. Each member of our venue service team has broad skills and excellent training and is capable in delivering a range experiences.

2. JOB DESCRIPTION

Working as part of a small full time leadership team and reporting to our Managing Director, the Venue Manager is accountable for our venue performance - to promote our brand by ensuring high quality of service and excellent experiences for all guests. The Venue Manager maintains a motivated and professional team and delivers on gross profit targets, operational efficiency, high service standards and excellent drinks and distillery experiences.

You are accountable for:

· Maximising revenue within the venue- upselling of our products and experiences

· Achieving total cost of labour and goods targets to revenue

· Ensuring our kitchen and pizzeria partners deliver quality and service to requirements

· Delivering an excellent and innovative drinks experience showcasing our products

· Delivering excellent experiences including:

o distilling and education experiences (gin, cocktail school, etc)

o distillery experiences (tasting flights, and tours etc.)

· Delivering high customer service standards and managing enquiries and complaints

· Quality execution of events, functions and activations.

· Optimising stock levels including inventory, ordering and control

· Maintaining standards of safety and compliance, amenity and cleanliness in the venue

· Optimising staff levels while maintaining a professional and motivated team capable of delivering all experiences to our standards
