Workshop Supervisor and/or Senior Marine Technician/Mechanic

Marine Care Qld are a fast-growing New Boat & Outboard Sales and Service business based in the of heart Redlands, the gateway to Southern Moreton Bay. We are seeking an experienced Marine Workshop Supervisor and/or Senior Marine Technician to provide a high level of expertise and experience to satisfy the needs of our clients for servicing Yamaha and Evinrude outboards. Either looking for a someone with experience as a Workshop Supervisor or someone ready to step up into the role.

Mandatory Requirements of the position include the following:

Qualified Technician / Mechanic - 3+ years' experience.

Demonstrated experience in working in a similar business (marine outboard servicing is preferred)

Ability to service motors as per manufacturers guidelines.

Ability to diagnose issues with outboards unsupervised.

Be passionate about boating and the water.

Natural ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail.

Car and boat licence.

Desirable Requirements of the position include the following:

Qualified Senior Marine / Outboard Technician with supervisor/management experience.

Factory based training with a major marine engine brand (preferred Yamaha and/or Evinrude).

Experience in rebuilding outboards, gearboxes etc.

A current forklift licence.

Fit out experience - electric motors, sounders, battery systems, 12v.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage the running of the workshop.

Management of parts for services.

Quality Assurance of service jobs.

Provide exceptional Customer Service to our customer base.

Service and repair boats and outboard motors.

Pre-deliver new boats and outboards.

Resolve technical issues.

Maintain workshop stock and consumables

Carry out water testing and customer handover.

Participation in supplier training programs.

This is a full-time position based on 40hr week Monday to Friday on an hourly rate. The rate will be discussed with the successful applicant taking into consideration of experience, skill set, and expertise suited for the role. Uniform supplied.
