About the role

Nurse2u is seeking an experienced Support Worker to join our team on a contract basis in Southport, Queensland. As an Experienced Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our elderly and disabled clients, helping them maintain their independence and improve their quality of life.

What you'll be doing

Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and social engagement

Medications Assist

Providing compassionate and person-centred support to help clients achieve their individual goals and maintain their independence

Collaborating with allied health professionals and the client's support network to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to care

Documenting client progress and maintaining detailed records in accordance with organisational policies and procedures

Advocating for client needs and communicating effectively with the Nurse2u team to ensure the highest standards of care

What we're looking for

Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Support Worker or similar role in the aged care or disability support sectors

Kinowledge of assisting wih medications and adminstering - Training provided

Strong understanding of the needs of elderly and disabled clients and the ability to provide personalised, empathetic support

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients and their families

Demonstrated experience in documenting client progress and maintaining accurate records

Flexibility and the ability to adapt to the changing needs of clients

Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification

Current First Aid and CPR certification

A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
