About the Role

FITCare Support Worker and Mentors are responsible for the frontline delivery of quality support services provided to FITCare participants. Services are provided to participants in accordance with their NDIS plan, FITCare organisational policies and procedures, the experience and skill of the staff member, and the conditions of employment.

FITCare Support Services focuses on supports delivered during normal trading hours (weekends optional) and promotes a work/life balance for its employees.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

Provision of person-centered care

Consistently demonstrate a commitment to supporting People with Disability to achieve their goals

Assist participants with and follow Government Health directives and guidelines

Assisting with communication

Assisting with mobility, transportation, and other community access needs, including manual handling/transfers when required

Assisting with recreational activities.

Assisting with domestic/in-home care activities

Providing other support duties as required/directed

About You

Essential:

A passion for health, fitness, and wellbeing

A professional attitude, along with a strong work ethic and attention to detail

A willingness to try new things and be receptive to supervisor feedback and advice

The desire for continuous improvement, education and career advancement

Drivers licence and a reliable vehicle

Desirable:

Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or Certificate IV in Disability is desirable but not essential

Experience is desirable but not essential

Health and Fitness experience and/or qualifications (Cert III and IV in Fitness)

Located near or around the Gympie and Moreton Bay regions (as we have extra demand in this area currently)
