Pete’s Artisan Bread & Cafe is a locally loved bakery café known for handcrafted sourdough, fresh pastries, and warm customer service. We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Retail Manager to oversee the daily operations of our bustling café and bakery retail outlet.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage daily front-of-house operations, including opening/closing, rostering, and inventory.

Lead, supervise, and train a small team of front-of-house staff.

Ensure customer service standards are met and improved.

Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and liaise with vendors.

Manage budgets, POS reporting, and cash handling.

Oversee merchandising and presentation of all baked goods and café offerings.

Handle staff performance, scheduling, and customer feedback professionally.

Requirements:

At least 2 years’ experience in a retail or café management role.

Strong leadership and communication skills.

Proven ability to manage people, stock, and budgets efficiently.

Hospitality or business qualification is desirable but not essential.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

Understanding of food safety and WHS regulations.
