The Luxury Rug Retail Store Manager is accountable for the overall performance of the store, including sales growth, client relations, visual merchandising, staff supervision, inventory control, and maintaining a premium brand experience. The role requires a deep appreciation for fine textiles, customer service excellence, and strong leadership abilities.

In this role, you’ll run the day-to-day operations, inspire a small team, and help customers find the perfect rug to complete their space. Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Customer Experience
Drive and exceed sales targets through exceptional service and in-depth product knowledge.
Build and maintain long-term relationships with high-net-worth clients, designers, and decorators.
Provide personalized consultations and design advice to clients.
Manage customer complaints and returns professionally, ensuring client satisfaction.
Store Operations
Oversee daily store operations, including opening/closing procedures, cleanliness, and ambiance.
Ensure all rugs and displays are presented in accordance with luxury merchandising standards.
Manage inventory, stock levels, reordering, and product rotation to avoid overstock or shrinkage.
Maintain security and safety procedures, particularly for high-value merchandise.
Team Management
Recruit, train, and motivate sales associates.
Schedule staff and delegate responsibilities to meet store goals and provide a seamless shopping experience.
Conduct performance reviews, coaching sessions, and training on product knowledge and customer service.
Merchandising & Marketing
Implement visual merchandising guidelines to showcase luxury rugs in elegant, inviting layouts.
Collaborate with the marketing team on in-store promotions, events, and client outreach initiatives.
Stay updated on trends in luxury home décor and provide input on product selection and market positioning.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in retail management, preferably in luxury home goods, interior design, or fashion.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Excellent customer service and sales abilities with a client-centric approach.
Knowledge or passion for textiles, interior design, or luxury furnishings is highly desirable.
Proficiency in inventory and POS systems; basic business acumen in sales reporting and budgeting.
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed.
