About the role

This is a full-time position as a Sheet Metal worker/welder based in Wangara, WA 6065. As a key member of the ARC ELECTRICAL SWITCHBOARDS ' team, you will apply your expertise in sheet metal fabrication and welding to contribute to the company's projects and success.

What you'll be doing

Fabricating, assembling and installing sheet metal components and structures

Performing welding work using various techniques to join metal parts

Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications

Measuring, marking and cutting metal parts to required dimensions

Preparing metal surfaces for welding or other finishing processes

Ensuring work meets quality and safety standards

Collaborating with the wider team to complete projects on time and to a high standard

What we're looking for

Proven experience as a sheet metal worker or welder, ideally in a commercial or industrial setting

Strong proficiency in various welding techniques, such as MIG, TIG to aluminium, stainless steel and mild steel.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and work orders

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety

Problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Relevant trade qualifications or certifications
