St Laurence's College is a Catholic School in the Edmund Rice Tradition which has over 2000 boys enrolled from Years 5 to Year 12.

Applications are invited for a permanent, full-time Assistant Accountant to join our Finance Team, commencing as soon as possible or in line with notice requirements.

The Assistant Accountant supports the Finance Manager to process general ledger transactions, reconcile bank accounts, prepare financial reports, and deliver quality accounting practices and support across the College. The position also works with the Finance team including payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable as well as the wider College community.

The successful candidate will have:

At least 3 years’ experience in a Finance role, particularly Assistant Accountant.

A degree qualification in Accounting, or working towards would be looked at favourably.

Possess a current Blue Card; or be eligible to apply for a Suitability Card for working with children.

Demonstrated experience using finance systems (eg TASS, etc)

Demonstrated strong computer skills in all Microsoft applications and database experience in updating and retrieving data for reports (with excellent accuracy).

Demonstrated strong time management and organisation skills with the ability to work well under pressure and to meet deadlines; and be able to respond rapidly to change.

Ability to work in a team environment.
