About the role

Skymesh is seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant to join our dynamic team in our Brisbane office. This full-time role will play a vital part in supporting our accounting operations and helping us maintain financial excellence. As Assistant Accountant, you will support the end-to-end finance function, working closely with our Financial Controller and the accounting team, to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting — from accounts payable and receivable to monthly journals, GST/BAS prep and financial reporting. If you're confident with reconciliations, have strong attention to detail, and enjoy collaborating across departments, we want to hear from you.

What you'll be doing

Process daily transactions using Dynamics 365

Reconcile bank accounts and monitor cash flow

Manage Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable functions

Assist with BAS, journals, fixed assets, and month-end reporting

Support payroll and liaise with auditors & external stakeholders

What we're looking for

Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance

2-4 years' experience in a similar Assistant Accountant role

Experience with Dynamics 365 (or similar accounting software) and MS Office suite

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Strong time management

Completed or progressing towards CPA / CA (bonus points)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
