Our client is a growing Services business with its Head Office based in the CBD. They are now looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their supportive finance team. Reporting to/being mentored by the Finance Manager, this is a varied role and your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Accounts payable and online banking
- Expense claims and oversight of the amex process
- Month end journals
- Accruals
- Assistance with regular Excel related reporting to London
- BAS, Stamp Duty, and other compliance related returns
- Assistance with preparation of budget and reporting files
- Bank reconciliations
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Project related work
- Involvement in and assistance with payroll.
Ideally you will be degree qualified and studying towards your CA/CPA qualification, have at least 2+ years experience (either from chartered or large corporates), excellent communication skills, be able to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and have strong attention to detail.
