React Developer - 2-Month Contract | Up to $1050/day | Melbourne or Remote within Australia

The Opportunity

Be part of an exciting application rebuild for a client innovating in climate risk modelling and opportunity analysis. You'll join a cross-functional team of developers and architects to uplift and enhance a React-based front-end as part of a microservices transformation. The work directly supports users making complex, high-impact decisions in real-world environments.

The Role

As a React Developer you will be responsible for enhancing and refactoring a modern ReactJS application within a broader microservices architecture.

Your other responsibilities will include:

• Uplifting the front-end to align with security standards and design best practices.
• Collaborating with backend developers to integrate APIs effectively.
• Refactoring UI components to meet client style and performance expectations.
• Ensuring the application is SSO-compatible and secure.
• Documenting the front-end codebase and contributing to deployment readiness.

About You

In order to be a successful applicant you will have proven experience developing high-quality web applications using React.

You will also have:

• Strong JavaScript, HTML, and CSS skills, with ReactJS as your core front-end framework.
• Experience working closely with backend APIs and full-stack environments.
• Understanding of front-end security principles and SSO integration.
• The ability to work independently while contributing to a distributed team.
• High attention to detail with a user-focused design mindset.
• Clear communication skills and a willingness to take ownership of deliverables.
