On behalf of my clients who operate in the Australian Federal Government sector, I am currently looking for 2

ServiceNow Technical Consultants / Developers.

The roles are being offered as day rate contract positions and are of an urgent priority, so they are looking for candidates who would be able to start more or less immediately.

Due to the nature of the work candidates MUST be baseline security cleared and be based in Australia but can work from any Australian state remotely.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, configure, and customise ServiceNow applications and modules (e.g., ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, SecOps).

Work closely with government stakeholders to gather requirements and implement solutions.

Create and maintain workflows, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, and integrations.

Ensure security, compliance, and performance optimisation for ServiceNow applications.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring minimal downtime.

Integrate ServiceNow with other enterprise systems using REST/SOAP APIs.

Support ongoing system upgrades and improvements.

Required Skills & Experience

3+ years of hands-on experience as a ServiceNow Technical Consultant / Developer

Strong skills in JavaScript, REST/SOAP APIs, workflows, and automation.

Experience with ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, SecOps, or other ServiceNow modules.

Knowledge of ITIL practices and enterprise service management.

Federal Government Experience: Previous work with Federal Government

Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Security Clearance: Baseline or above.

Nice-to-Have (Bonus Skills)

ServiceNow Certifications (CSA, CAD, CIS-ITSM, etc.).

Experience with Service Portal development (HTML, CSS, AngularJS).

Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
