Python Developer - 2-Month Contract | Up to $1050/day | Melbourne or Remote within Australia

The Opportunity

The Role

As a Python Developer you will be responsible for designing and developing robust backend services within a microservices framework.

Your other responsibilities will include:

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to rebuild a mission-critical application from the ground up.
• Developing scalable APIs using Django and Django Ninja, aligned to modern best practices.
• Integrating services hosted on AWS and enhancing system architecture.
• Supporting security uplift initiatives including SSO integration.
• Producing clean, maintainable code and documenting technical solutions.

About You

In order to be a successful applicant you will bring a strong background in Python development and backend architecture.

You will also have:

• 4-5 years' experience in Python application development.
• 2-3 years' experience with microservices using FastAPI or Flask; Django Ninja exposure is ideal.
• A solid understanding of secure, scalable system design.
• Experience working in AWS environments and version control systems (e.g. Git).
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a distributed team.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
