Lead our kitchen as Head Cook at CDSC!

We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Head Cook to join our team at the Cowaramup District Social Club (CDSC), where you'll play a key role in creating delicious meals for our members and guests.

Your Responsibilities:

Work closely with the Club Manager to develop themed food nights and specials for our members

Prepare and cook high-quality meals that meet our standards for taste and presentation

Maintain food safety and hygiene standards throughout the kitchen

Ensure food is stored and handled properly to avoid waste or spoilage

Oversee kitchen organisation, ensuring prep work is completed efficiently

Manage kitchen inventory and order supplies as needed

Lead and mentor junior kitchen staff, helping to develop their skills

Develop catering menus for private functions and events

Manage the kitchen’s financials, including food costing, budgeting and ensuring cost-effective use of resources

Who We're Looking For:

3-5 years of professional kitchen experience, including 1+ year in a leadership role

Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) and a valid Food Safety Supervisor Certificate

Strong understanding of kitchen operations, food preparation and cooking techniques

Experience in kitchen management, including food costing and inventory control

Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a high standard of work
