In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate payroll records, processing payroll for multiple pay cycles, and driving process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

The Opportunity:
The Payroll Officer manages employee payroll records, assist in the day-to-day operations of payroll functions, conducts end-to-end processing, and stays updated on award and legislative changes. The payroll officer operates in accordance with organisational policies and are responsible for any assigned projects.
You will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Maintaining pay records and master files for a payroll
- Making recommendations on system improvements relating to payroll functions and processes
- Accurate and timely processing of payroll outcomes
- Full end to end payroll processing for 2 pay cycles (fortnightly and Monthly pay cycles)
- Responding to pay related questions from employees, co-ordination/service managers, P&C and external sources
- Support change initiatives to improvement payroll outcomes and decrease query volumes
- End of Month/Quarter reconciliation/processing
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Diploma or certificate in payroll administration, or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of key payroll principles and processes Deep knowledge of Australian employment law and industrial relations
- Meticulous attention to detail, and demonstrate a high level of accuracy in data entry
- Ability to work autonomously with limited supervision, and use professional judgement where appropriate
- High level computer skills including experiences using payroll software
Additional Requirements:
- Current National Police Check
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Evidence of current work rights in Australia
