Ampersand have partnered with a leading financial services and advisory firm, who are seeking to appoint a Bid & Business Development Adviser to support the advisory team by leading bids, tenders, and strategic business development initiatives.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a firm that plays a key role in shaping vital public and social infrastructure projects—think healthcare, education, housing, and transport.

Reporting to the Business Development Manager and working closely with a collaborative BD team, you’ll coordinate the full lifecycle of competitive bids and proposals, helping the firm continue to grow its footprint and influence in the market.

Key Responsibilities:

Tenders & Proposals

  • Manage end-to-end tender and bid submissions, from planning and content development to final delivery.
  • Create tailored responses that highlight the firm’s capabilities, sector strengths, and strategic value.
  • Oversee timelines, inputs, and stakeholder engagement to ensure timely and compliant submissions.
  • Maintain a central repository of past bids and documents to support future proposals.
  • Lead post-submission reviews to identify learnings and drive continuous improvement.

Business Development

  • Conduct research into market trends, client activity, and competitor positioning.
  • Identify and support pursuit of new business opportunities.
  • Manage and update the firm’s project database and coordinate client-focused materials.

Marketing & Communications

  • Support internal and external marketing activity including newsletters, reports, and client communications.
  • Ensure all content aligns with brand and messaging standards.

About You:

  • You bring experience in bids, proposals or business development—ideally within professional services, corporate finance, or advisory.
  • You’re a strong communicator, writer and project manager who enjoys juggling priorities and deadlines.
  • You thrive in a collaborative environment and take pride in delivering high-quality, client-focused work.
  • You’re commercially curious, detail-driven and motivated by contributing to meaningful projects.
