The City of Yarra Children’s Services Unit operates early childhood education centres with integrated kindergarten, sessional kindergartens and occasional care programs. Starting as soon as possible, the successful applicants will commence their Early Years Educator journey with our North Yarra Early Years Precinct at our North Carlton Children’s Centre, located on Wurundjeri country.
North Carlton Children’s Centre is an 89 place Long Day Care and Sessional Kindergarten. Inviting applications for Diploma qualified Early Childhood Educators, to join our Children’s Services Team. To be successful in the position you will be an Educator who has an enthusiasm for engaging with children, families and the community. You will understand the benefits of engaging in and observing children’s play and learning, to extend on their interests and provide positive outcomes through enriched educational environments. You will have proven experience in leading the implementation of high-quality children’s educational programs. You will have solid understanding of children’s emotional attachment, inclusion and development more broadly. Yarra is a child safe organisation and as such you will understand the important role that educators play in protecting and advocating for children’s rights and wellbeing.
At North Carlton Children’s Centre:

Applicants are also required to have:
- An ACECQA approved Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent)
- Up to date First Aid, CPR, EpiPen and Asthma Management qualifications,
- Valid Working with Children Check,
- Current mandatory reporting training,
- You must have the right to live and work in Australia to apply for this job.
