SENIOR DEVELOPMENT ANALYST (Commercial Property) – Sydney - $170k-$190k + Super + Bonuses

Our client is a tier 1 property investment and development group, based in Sydney, which boasts a track record of delivering major real estate projects across APAC region. They hold a clear strategy of development focused growth within the logistics, date centre and office sector and hold a national footprint in terms of current pipeline.

As the lead Senior Development Analyst, you will provide daily support to the development team, interfacing with funds management and finance. This individual will be the analytical and financial detail keyholder for all projects nationally and will possess a strong capability to drive feasibility models through projects, understanding the development implications across cost, upside and risk.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of detailed feasibility models for development projects, including cost estimates, cash flows, and returns. This includes amending models to suit specific criteria for projects unique to other standard industrial projects;
• Assist the commercial team in the creation of reporting packs such as Monthly Development Reports, Investor Reports, Strategic Development Plans and Budgets;
• Conduct scenario testing and sensitivity analysis to inform commercial decisions throughout the development process;
• Provide analytical support for leasing deals, cost updates, and project delivery reporting;
• Assist with the eventual standardisation of the models to be uniformed across the portfolio where possible;
• Auditing and governance/back-checking of models being operated by the Development Managers;
• Analysing potential developments, expansion of properties, value-adding exercises;
• Updating financial models based on forecasts from the funds /investment teams.

Requirements:

• Degree qualified in Property, Construction, Finance, Engineering or equivalent field;
• Strong track record in development, construction and projects;
• Strong people skills and can manage ambiguity and constant changes effectively;
• Ability to manage multiple projects and clients and meet shifting priorities and deadlines;
• Excellent written and oral presentation skills;
• Strong level in core Microsoft Office, especially in MS Excel (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
