About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Building Remediation Consultant & Remedial Projects Manager to join our team. This role is based at our Hornsby office, with project sites located throughout Sydney, Canberra and regional New South Wales.

In this position, you will be responsible for delivering a broad range of remedial and consulting services in the building, facade and waterproofing sector. Key responsibilities include:

Conducting detailed site inspections and assessments

Investigating and diagnosing building, facade and waterproofing defects

Performing façade assessments and thermal/visual scanning

Preparing design documentation and scope of works for both remedial and new-build projects

Conducting & supervising field testing and diagnostic procedures

Developing practical, compliant, and cost-effective solutions

Producing clear, comprehensive technical reports

Providing expert advice on building, façade, and waterproofing matters

Managing and coordinating remedial projects to ensure quality outcomes and timely delivery (Project management responsibilities)

Experience & Qualifications

5+ years of experience in building and waterproofing consulting within the Australian market.

In-depth knowledge of building codes and standards related to waterproofing, facade, materials, building construction and design

Experience in preparing technical reports, scope of works and specifications for building, facade and waterproofing projects

Experience with drafting remediation solutions, and conducting site inspections for quality assurance

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical parties

Experience in liaising with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders on project-specific issues

Experience in project management.

Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture or a related field is highly regarded. Licensed builder or relevant trade experience will also be considered.
