About the role
This full-time Administration & Customer Service Officer role is a great opportunity to join the Groote Archipelago Regional Council in Milyakburra, Northern Territory. You will be responsible for providing high-quality administrative support while also supporting the delivery of community engagement activities that strengthen the relationship between Council and the local community.
What you'll be doing
Provide high-quality administrative support to the Regional Council Services Manager, including records management, reporting, and meeting coordination.
Act as a welcoming first point of contact for community members, handling enquiries and promoting Council services.
Support the planning and delivery of community engagement activities, meetings, and civic events.
Liaise with local stakeholders and organisations to strengthen community participation and collaboration.
Assist with processing payments, purchase orders, and invoices, ensuring smooth day-to-day Council operations.
What we're looking for
Minimum of 5 years' experience in administrative support or community engagement, ideally within local government or a remote community setting.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build respectful relationships across diverse cultural and community groups.
Highly organised with excellent time management skills and strong attention to detail.
Confident using Microsoft Office and databases, with the ability to prepare reports and manage records efficiently.
A collaborative, adaptable, and community-minded approach, with a genuine commitment to achieving positive outcomes for the Milyakburra community.
