About the role
Groote Archipelago Regional Council is seeking an experienced Administration Officer to join our Infrastructure and Assets team based in Angurugu, NT. This full-time position will be responsible for providing high-quality administrative support to the Infrastructure and Assets department, ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of local government services to the community.
What you'll be doing
Provide high-level administrative support to the Regional Manager and Infrastructure Team across a range of projects and tasks
Assist in the coordination and scheduling of repairs, maintenance activities, meetings, and site visits
Prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports, correspondence, and contract materials
Maintain accurate records and filing systems related to infrastructure and asset management
Liaise effectively with internal teams, community members, and external stakeholders to support project delivery
Contribute to budget tracking, data analysis, and preparation of regular project status updates and reports
Support the planning and delivery of community engagement activities, civic events, and infrastructure-related meetings
What we're looking for
Proven experience in an administrative or support role, preferably within a local government or infrastructure-related environment
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and multi-task effectively
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software applications
Knowledge of local government operations and/or infrastructure management would be highly regarded
A genuine interest in contributing to the development and growth of the local community
