About the role

At Blue NRG Pty Ltd, we are seeking a skilled Corporate Accountant to join our finance team. In this full-time role based in our Melbourne office, you will play a pivotal part in maintaining the financial health and reporting for our growing organisation.

What you'll be doing

Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements

Manage the month-end close process, ensuring all accounts are reconciled and financial data is up-to-date

Assist with the preparation of the annual budget and ongoing forecasting and analysis

Support the finance team with ad-hoc projects and analysis as required

Liaise with internal stakeholders to provide financial information and advice

Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations

What we're looking for

Degree in Accounting or Finance and membership (or working towards) of a professional accounting body (CA or CPA)

Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar corporate accounting role, preferably within the energy or utilities industry

Strong technical accounting skills with a solid understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting

Excellent attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work under pressure

Proficient in the use of Xero accounting software and MS Office applications

Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
