About the Opportunity

Due to a significant commercial transformation, a newly created role of Senior Financial Accountant is open for the right candidate.

This is an exciting role that will report directly to the CFO.

This role offers the genuine opportunity to manage a small team based on temperament & consideration for others. In time, it also offers the opportunity to be promoted to the position of Financial Controller.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Preparation of monthly financial reporting board packs,

• Drive Group month end close process (group timetable)
• Responsible for the balance sheet reconciliation
• Consolidated reporting of all business divisions (included 3 overseas entities) and high-level variance analysis

External Reporting

• Quarterly US Financial Reports (SOX Compliance)
• Half yearly Australian Financial Reports (ASX listed)
• Assist with the preparation of external reporting

Internal and external Audit

• Internal quarterly US required audits
• External half yearly PWC audits
• Support and co-ordinate audit process with the divisional finance business partners

Tax Reporting

• Monthly GST/ BAS/ PAYG/Payroll tax
• Annually FBT/Income tax/R&D claim/Transfer pricing

Group cash flow

• Group cashflow planning
• Transactional banking support – credit cards, HP leases, drawdowns, users
• Responsible for intercompany loan reconciliations

Group Accounting policy and process and lease accounting

• Drive Group processes and accounting policy implementation (technical) and review across group
• Business partnering for process and system design & implementation

System understanding

• Microsoft dynamic BC/ERP Workflows, Group Chart of Accounts management

Run Corporate team:

• Manage AP/AR/Jr Financial Accountant

Other:

• Monthly journals for Payroll & Leasing

Support CFO on projects/restructure/reconciliations

This position offers onsite learning & development for the right candidate. As such, you will have demonstrated technical skills & experience as follows:

Required:
