We are looking for an experienced Accountant/Financial Controller to join our busy team and work with multiple companies. The position could also be available on a part time basis with the responsibilities shared between a Financial Controller and Accounts Assistant/Bookkeeper.

Role Overview:

Maintaining General ledger accounts and proactively handling requests from internal and external stakeholders.

Reporting to the CFO and assisting CFO with various tasks when required.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Preform cash reconciliations, bank reconciliations and Payroll

Assist with the month end accounting process

Assist requests and queries from internal and external stakeholders

Assist the CFO with ad hoc tasks when required

Proactively checking/responding emails

Liaising with the staff from other departments for various tasks

Preparation of BAS, PAYG, GST and payroll tax returns

End-to-end accounts payables and receivables

Required Skills and Attributes:

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role

Familiar with Xero or similar accounting systems

Able to work autonomously and proactively

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Be hands on and flexible with tasks

Strong level of accuracy & attention to detail

Ability to take on responsibility and accountability

Have a can-do attitude

Be open and confident when dealing with internal and external clients

Excellent computer software skills

Formal Accounting qualification: Bachelor’s degree (minimum)
